OWNERSHIP OF FARMLAND - FAQ

A proficient team of skilled and knowledgeable agricultural experts and operational staff ensures that the farmlands are managed with expertise and sustainability.
There are two parts to the maintenance charges:

  • Common Area Maintenance:This includes maintenance of shared areas like access paths, farm security, irrigation systems, rainwater harvesting, pumps, lighting, and communal areas such as the farm center and resting areas.
  • Farm Plot Maintenance: Each farm plot requires composting, pruning, spraying, organic fertilisation, mulching, and crop planning. Co-farmers can choose to manage their plots themselves, with the farm center providing the necessary training and tools for co-farming. After 5 years of planting, it is recommended to opt for self-management, as passive irrigation and soil nurturing systems are established and require minimal care. Syntropic farming and passive systems on the farm plot ensure minimal maintenance, and dedicating just 4 hours every week can ensure proper upkeep. Engaging in farming is an excellent way to stay healthy.

Certainly. The property is freehold, and every boundary is demarcated on all sides for precise identification. Every plot is geographically tagged, outlined on a satellite map, identified with a stone, and registered under the name of the Co-farmers to ensure clear ownership.

Agriculture involves cultivating food and timber crops, utilising a three-tier system consisting of tall, medium, and small trees. The primary aim of such a plantation is to advance the farm-to-table approach, emphasising food freshness, safety, seasonality, and sustainability. Furthermore, it guarantees that soil health will continue to improve each year and that the food source will last for future generations.

To ensure that the farm has enough water, we primarily rely on rainwater harvesting-based irrigation and four active borewells recharges. Our aim is to preserve and enhance water availability, and we achieve this through various methods. Additionally, we use a modern drip irrigation system to optimise water usage on the farm.

A part of the farmland, approximately 10% of the farm plot area, is reserved for building a farmhouse, and an additional 10% is set aside for personal gardens and landscaping. NaturesGreen will provide management and upkeep of the plants at a reasonable extra cost if regular maintenance is required. However, the plot owner must maintain the forest ambiance of the farm and not harm the surrounding environment or natural beauty.

Each of the farm plots features mud roads within their boundaries, which are made of metal and have a width that varies between 18 and 20 feet.

We make sure that the plants grow and stay healthy by carefully planning the application of nutrients and organic substances, as well as implementing drip irrigation on a regular basis. Additionally, our team of agricultural specialists who are present in the field keep a close eye on the growth of the young trees and plants and take necessary measures to prevent and control any damage caused by pests.
